Supergiant Games, the acclaimed developer behind the original Hades, has officially announced that their highly anticipated sequel, Hades II, will be making its way to Nintendo platforms. Fans of the roguelike dungeon crawler will be excited to learn that the game is slated for release on both the current Nintendo Switch and the upcoming, widely speculated “Nintendo Switch 2.” This announcement confirms earlier speculation following the game’s recent appearance in a Nintendo showcase, solidifying Nintendo’s position as a key platform for the release of this major title.
Adding to the excitement, Supergiant Games has revealed that Hades II will be a timed console exclusive for the Nintendo ecosystem. This means that while the game will also be available on PC via early access platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store, console players will initially only be able to experience the full 1.0 version on either the Nintendo Switch or its next-generation counterpart.
