Silent Hill f Finally Gets Its Moment – And It’s Coming This September

Okay, I’ll admit it, I genuinely gasped when that haunting Silent Hill f trailer started playing during today’s State of Play. After years of wondering when we’d see more of this mysterious entry in the franchise, Konami finally dropped the news we’ve all been waiting for: Silent Hill f is launching on September 25, 2025, and it looks absolutely terrifying in the best possible way.

The extended gameplay trailer gave us our first real glimpse of protagonist Hinako Shimizu wandering through what can only be described as a beautifully nightmarish version of Silent Hill. There’s something uniquely unsettling about seeing the series’ signature psychological horror through this fresh lens, and honestly, it’s got me both excited and slightly terrified to experience it myself.

What makes this announcement so satisfying is the timing. Silent Hill 2 Remake absolutely knocked it out of the park last year, proving that modern takes on classic horror can work brilliantly when done right. Now we’re getting something completely new, a fresh story, fresh characters, and what looks like a fresh take on the atmospheric dread that makes Silent Hill so special.

The fact that it’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on the same day is also huge. No platform exclusivity drama, no waiting around, just pure, accessible horror for everyone who wants to dive into this twisted world. Pre-orders are going live today, which means Konami is clearly confident in what they’ve built here.

After the success of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, there’s real momentum behind this franchise again. Silent Hill f feels like the perfect next step, honoring what made the series legendary while carving out its own unique space in the horror landscape.

September can’t come soon enough. My nerves are already shot just thinking about it, and that’s exactly how I want to feel about a new Silent Hill game.
