Episode 7, “Retrospective,” is a heavy one. It picks up right after the chaos of the Dispatch Episode 6 and throws you straight into the emotional fallout. Chase is in the hospital, the team is falling apart, and you’re about to be hit with some of the biggest story reveals in the entire game. This episode is all about loyalty, betrayal, and a massive confrontation you won’t see coming.

Major Choices in Dispatch Episode 7
Here are the most important choices you’ll face in this episode. For the opening flashback, choose “Twinkies” to get the “There. You happy now?” achievement. In the team meeting, you’ll have to decide whether to [CUT HER] or [DEFEND HER] when the team turns on Invisigal. Later, during Invisigal’s confession, choosing “I forgive you” and [LEAN IN] is the only way to lock in her romance. Finally, you’ll have to choose between [TRACK STAR] and [INVISIGAL] for Blazer’s press announcement.
Dispatch Episode 7 Choices
This is a very story heavy episode, so this Dispatch Episode 7 guide will walk you through every single conversation, big and small, in the order they happen.
The “Retrospective” Flashback
The episode opens with a flashback of you as a kid with a young Chase. He offers to buy you something from the store. This is a rare choice that has an achievement tied to it.
Flashback Store Choice:

The Hospital and Break Room
You’re at the hospital watching over Chase when Blonde Blazer arrives. She asks about your history with him.
Blazer Hospital Dialogue 1:

- I was lost for a while.
Blazer then brings up Invisigal and asks what you plan to do. This is a “Will be remembered” choice.
Blazer Hospital Dialogue 2:
- She really f**ked up.
- Might make things worse.
- I’ll get back to you.
After this, you’ll find Waterboy in the break room. He’s conflicted about Chase’s actions in the last episode. This choice will also be remembered.
Waterboy Dialogue:
- Yeah, I think he did.
- I honestly don’t know.
- Absolutely not.
Dispatch Episode 7 Guide (All Missions)
You have one dispatch shift in this episode, but it’s a tense one. Because of the events of Episode 6, Invisigal is suspended and unavailable. Golem is also upset and will refuse to go on some calls.
The main mission to watch for is “Red Ring,” which has a high injury risk. You get two ways to handle it: [Go All Out] for more XP or [Play It Safe] for a lower risk. Runaway Car Hacking Guide
The “Runaway Car” mission features a new hacking sequence. To beat it, you need to first move up to bait the Antivirus, then dodge back down and hide behind the electricity pylon to destroy it. Move to the “Build” spot on the right to make a new path. Use this path to bait and destroy the second Antivirus the same way. The passcode is Left, Right, Right, Left. The Team Meeting: Cut Her or Defend Her?
After the shift, you’ll walk into the boardroom to find Golem has punched Punch Up through the door.
Boardroom Dialogue 1:
- What’s goin’ on?
- Who’s paying for this?
- Who threw him out the door?
The team is holding a vote. They’re furious about Chase and blame Invisigal. They all want her gone, and the choice is left to you. This is one of the biggest Dispatch Episode 7 choices.
Team Meeting Choice:
- [CUT HER]
- [DEFEND HER]
Choosing [CUT HER] will side with the team but permanently ends Invisigal’s story. Choosing [DEFEND HER] goes against the team but shows loyalty to her, which is key for her romance path.
Invisigal’s Confession
No matter what you chose, you’ll find Invisigal in the locker room. This is the biggest scene in the entire Episode 7.
Locker Room Dialogue 1:
- I care about you.
- It’s not your fault.
- I don’t want this.
She then makes a shocking confession: She was the one who planted the bomb on your Mecha Man suit. She was working for Shroud to pay off a debt before she ever joined the program.
Confession Choice:
- I don’t know what to feel.
- We’re done.
- I forgive you.
Choosing “I forgive you” is the only way to continue her romance. This leads to an action prompt.
Locker Room Action:
- [LEAN IN]
- [LEAN OUT]
Choosing [LEAN IN] locks in the romance. Any other combination of choices here will end it for good.
The Bar, The Abduction, and Shroud
You’ll be in a cab when you get a text from Blazer asking what to tell the press.
Cab Text Choice:
- [TRACK STAR]
- [INVISIGAL]
You end up at a bar, and the bartender is being an idiot.
Bartender Dialogue 1:
- Mind changing the subject?
- Could you shut the f*ck up?
- Get me another drink.
Bartender Dialogue 2:
- [GLASS HIM]
- [LET IT GO]
Suddenly, you get knocked out. You wake up tied to a chair. The person who abducted you is the hero you cut back in Episode 3 (Sonar or Coupe). And they’ve brought you to Shroud.
Shroud reveals he knew your father and killed him. He then plays Russian Roulette with his gun.
Shroud Confrontation Dialogue:
- [SPIT IN HIS FACE]
- I don’t have it.
- I’m going to kill you.
The Rescue and Final Choice
Just when Shroud is about to kill you, Blonde Blazer bursts in and saves you in a truly heroic moment.
Rescue Dialogue:
- Thanks for saving me.
- There’s no backup, is there?
- Can’t believe you found me.
The episode ends with you and Blazer on the billboard, just like in the first episode. Shroud’s men have leaked footage showing that Invisigal stole the Astral Pulse from the yacht… and kept it. Blazer asks you why she would hide it.
Final Billboard Choice:
- She’s planning something.
- Who cares?
- I trust her.
