Where Winds Meet already offers plenty of content and its first major Western update is on the way. Along with it comes a small roadmap highlighting what is coming next for players to look forward to.
Where Winds Meet Next Update
In a post on X, the developers revealed a December 2025 roadmap. It confirms that players can expect not only a mobile release on another platform, but also a major wave of new content.
On December 11, 2025 (or December 12, depending on region), the game will receive its first large content update. Based on official statement, Where Winds Meet next update includes:
- A new region: The Roaring Sands (official German name still unknown)
- Two new bosses: Flussmeister and Feng Ruzhi
- Two time-limited activities
The roadmap also outlines additional features planned to follow shortly after this update.
Where Winds Meet December Roadmap
The shared roadmap shows further updates that are to be released shortly after the major patch. Therefore, you can expect the following new features based on Where Winds Meet December Roadmap:
- On December 14, the Velvet Shadows will be made accessible which you could already get to know in the story in Kaifeng.
- On December 21, there will be a new sword trial and new content for the Hero’s Realm.
- On December 30, there will be a fireworks festival for New Year’s Eve and the turn of the year.
We should note that there will also be smaller changes and new content, though these were not detailed in the roadmap. Since the announcement only covers December, it is unclear whether another major update will arrive in January next year.
Because the Chinese version is far ahead of the global release, its update schedule gives a general sense of what players might expect next and how often new content may roll out. One example is The Velvet Shadows, another of the 11 sects in the game that will soon become playable. Like many sects, it leans heavily into role-playing, focusing on bonds, relationships and romance.
