Why Collect Dog Tags in Battlefield 6

Dog tags serve as the main collectibles throughout Battlefield 6’s campaign mode. These aren’t just random trinkets scattered around; they’re meaningful rewards that unlock achievements and multiplayer items. Every mission has its own challenge tied to finding all its dog tags, and completing these challenges nets you exclusive gear you can show off in multiplayer matches.

The game tracks five different achievements based on your collection progress. You’ll earn In Memoriam, Dogs of War, Hounds of War, and Wolves of War as you progress, with Pack Leader being the ultimate prize for grabbing all 30 tags. The good news is nothing here is missable since you can replay any mission from the main menu whenever you want.

Mission 1 Always Faithful Dog Tags

This opening mission throws you straight into the action with three dog tags to find. The first one appears after your wild vehicle escape through the forest. You’ll spot weapon pickups at a clearing, and the tag sits on a box right between them. Pretty hard to miss if you’re paying attention.

Mission 1 Always Faithful Dog Tags - Battlefield 6 dog tag locations

The second tag requires more careful exploration. After planting your second C4 charge inside the building, don’t rush ahead. Walk forward and left to find a pillar, and on the opposite side there’s a board with a knife stuck in it holding the dog tag. The third tag comes after you rappel to the rooftop, immediately head south and check the concrete blocks near the edge.

Mission 2 The Rock Dog Tags

The Rock mission features three collectibles spread across its underground tunnels and outdoor battles. Right after your skydive landing at the start, turn around instead of moving forward. You’ll see the AA gun platform where you just came from, and the first dog tag rests on a box before the gate.

Mission 2 The Rock Dog Tags

The second tag is tucked away in the underground museum section where you temporarily can’t use your weapon. Look for the large table on your left with a flashing light; the dog tag is sitting right there. The final tag for this mission appears during the second AAA gun destruction sequence. After clearing enemies and watching a helicopter drop reinforcements, check the container on the right side. The dog tag hangs from the left container door near some ammo crates.

Mission 3 Operation Gladius Dog Tags

Operation Gladius keeps things straightforward with three dog tags. The first appears after you exit the tank and clear your initial wave of enemies. Head to the platform with the machine gun turret and look for a box on the left side, that’s where your dog tag is waiting.

Mission 3 Operation Gladius Dog Tags

The second tag needs to be grabbed quickly. As you progress through a building with your squad, you’ll exit onto a second floor balcony. Before interacting with the door to continue, turn right and check the wooden table with wine bottles. The third dog tag is inside City Hall itself. When you enter the building, immediately turn left before the stairs and duck into the small room where the collectible hangs from a knife in the wall.

Mission 4 Night Raid Dog Tags

Night Raid packs four dog tags into its stealth focused gameplay. The first appears in the palace’s upper floor after the place catches fire. Your squad will post up near the first door heading north, clear the enemies inside and head to the bathroom at the back where a knife holds the dog tag to the wall.

Mission 4 Night Raid Dog Tags

After escaping the palace, you’ll navigate side streets and crouch through a shop. When you emerge into a playground with a small soccer field, head to the back right corner behind the field. There’s a small staircase area with the second dog tag. The third tag sits in an alleyway shop after the van explosion, look for mannequins wearing white shirts and check the table on the right side.

The final dog tag in this mission appears in the basement after Lopez gets shot. You’ll head down to grab gear for dealing with the helicopter, and the collectible is stuck in a poster on the wall left of the computers.

Mission 5 No Sleep Dog Tags

No Sleep keeps its collectibles simple with just three tags. The first one is practically handed to you after the helicopter drops you off at the mission start, follow Sergeant Acre into the briefing building and look at the table immediately to your left.

Mission 5 No Sleep Dog Tags

The second tag comes after your rooftop shooting sequence. You’ll enter another building for a cutscene, and on the far side of that room, another knife holds a dog tag to the wall. The third and final tag appears right after the tunnel driving section. When you exit the vehicle, your squad mentions a nearby shipping container with weapons. Check the crate immediately on the right to grab it.

Mission 6 Moving Mountains Dog Tags

Moving Mountains spreads four dog tags across its intense urban warfare. Inside the fire station where you meet the president, don’t rush upstairs after the cutscene. Instead, go right of the stairs to the north side and find the kitchen area the first dog tag sits on the counter there.

Mission 6 Moving Mountains Dog Tags

The second tag hides in the park’s construction site. Enter the building on the left and look between the chairs on the ground. The third appears in the subway section after your vehicle segment. Progress to the lit platform where enemies swarm you, and grab the dog tag from the block in the center with a map displayed above it.

The final tag for this mission requires a short detour. After exiting the subway, head to the intersection near your objective, then go northwest into the park. Climb the short set of stairs to find the collectible beside a body, roughly 80 meters from your next objective marker.

Mission 7 Nile Guard Dog Tags

Nile Guard only features two dog tags, but you need to grab the second one before approaching the helicopter or you’ll trigger the mission ending cutscene. The first tag appears after you exit the tank and clear through the first building into an open yard. Look for a tree on the right side with open black cases nearby the dog tag sits at the tree’s base.

Mission 7 Nile Guard Dog Tags

The second tag is in the area where you fight toward the rescue helicopter. Head to the east side and find an open building. Inside, you’ll see a bunch of posters on the wall with a knife sticking out holding the dog tag. Remember to grab this before getting too close to that helicopter.

Mission 8 Operation Ember Strike Dog Tags

Operation Ember Strike scatters four dog tags across its valley warfare setting. Shortly after the drone intro, drive down the valley to some destroyed buildings. Go into the eastern building and check underneath the window; the first dog tag is on the ground there.

Mission 8 Operation Ember Strike Dog Tags

The second tag sits between two houses about 200 meters from both Bravo and Charlie datalinks. Look for houses with brown, red, and green roofs. Between the brown and red buildings is a smaller structure with the dog tag inside on a box.

The third collectible appears during your second forced Switchblade missile use. Instead of immediately using the missile, turn left and climb the hill. At the top where a sniper was shooting you, you’ll find the dog tag on a box. The fourth tag is near the dam. After the cutscene, walk up the hill to the area with boxes, a forklift, and two ATVs. Check behind the forklift for the final collectible.

Mission 9 Always Forward Dog Tags

The final mission contains four dog tags to complete your collection. The first is in the opening outpost’s big garage at the end of the area, sitting on the ground by some green trucks. The second appears while you’re moving toward launcher Alpha through a series of three buildings. Right after exiting the third building following a radio call about air support, turn right to spot the dog tag on a concrete block beside sandbags.

Mission 9 Always Forward Dog Tags

The third tag is at the bunker containing the objective. Walk along the path behind the missile launcher and you’ll find it on a box beside a helmet. The final dog tag in the entire campaign appears right after the missile explodes outside. When you enter the bunker, immediately look left at the green crates opposite the lit building. Tag number 30 is waiting there to complete your Pack Leader achievement.

Tips for Finding Battlefield 6 Dog Tag Locations

Most dog tags appear on non destructible surfaces or stuck to walls with knives, so keep your eyes up and check corners carefully. The game tracks your collection progress in each mission’s pause menu, listing them in the order they appear. This makes it easy to figure out which ones you’ve missed if you’re replaying a mission.

Don’t worry about destroying the environment where dog tags are located, they’re always placed somewhere that can’t be blown up. Many tags appear right before or right after major objective transitions, so slow down during these moments instead of rushing to the next firefight. The few seconds it takes to explore will save you from having to replay entire missions later.

What You Unlock for Collecting All Dog Tags

Each mission has its own challenge for finding all its dog tags, and completing these unlocks exclusive multiplayer items you can check in the Campaign Challenges section. These rewards give you something tangible to show off your campaign completion in online matches.

The achievement progression gives you five different trophies as you collect more tags. Pack Leader is the final achievement that pops when you grab all 30 collectibles across the entire campaign. Since every mission can be replayed anytime, you can always go back for anything you missed without starting a fresh playthrough.
