I myself didn’t expect to see not one but two Lara Croft games at the Game Awards 2025. As it turns out, 2026 and 2027 are going to be great years for Tomb Raider fans. Here’s everything you should know about the new Tomb Raider games.
Tomb Raider: Catalyst to Be Released in 2027

Tomb Raider: Catalyst was actually announced three years ago by Crystal Dynamics. It’s been officially revealed that this game will be released in 2027.
The premise, however, seems rather lackluster. Once again, something triggers some mysterious ancient powers to be awakened. It attracts the attention of a lot of treasure hunters from around the world. The heroine of our story, Lara Croft, tries to uncover the truth behind it all before anybody else does. You can probably guess the rest. All in all, how can we not love this franchise?
- Name: Tomb Raider: Catalyst

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to Be Released in 2026

It’s a remake of the original Tomb Raider which came out all the way back in 1996. Though, Crystal Dynamics doesn’t like to call it a remake because probably because they wanted creative liberty to change a lot of stuff. I hope they make it right.
Not to mention both of them are being built with Unreal Engine 5. This should set the bar really high at least as far as graphics are concerned.
