Everything You Need to Know in One Paragraph

Your Feedback Matters
Even though Hollow Knight games are known for being tough, Team Cherry has shown it’s not afraid to make adjustments to improve the experience. This new patch is proof that they’re paying close attention to what players are saying.
While the update doesn’t make any bosses easier (sorry!), it does introduce some awesome quality of life changes that make the game feel better to play.

The Multibinder Just Got Way Better
The star of the show in Patch 4 is the new and improved Multibinder. This tool is a high risk, high reward way to heal, locking you into a long animation for a big payoff.
Thanks to fan feedback, it now has an extra perk: the first part of the bind will instantly clear out any nearby maggots. So now you can heal up and do a little pest control at the same time. In a game this hard, we’ll take every advantage we can get.
The patch also fixes a bug that made the Multibinder’s animation unintentionally long when used with the Shaman crest, making it a much more reliable tool overall.
Other Tweaks and Fixes
On top of the Multibinder buff, this patch also switches to a new input system to make controllers work better. That means features like rumble should now work for a wider variety of gamepads.
Team Cherry also squashed a bunch of other pesky bugs, including issues with certain items not equipping correctly and colliders getting stuck. They say the patch is still a work in progress, so expect even more improvements before it goes live for everyone.
