Little Nightmares 3 Release Date and Platforms

During Gamescom’s Opening Night Live in August 2023, Little Nightmares 3 was officially announced. It had an initial release window of 2024. Unlike its predecessors, this installment has been developed exclusively by Supermassive Games, rather than the franchise’s original developer. The game then was delayed to 2025 and eventually Little Nightmares III was officially released on October 10, 2025. Supermassive Games also worked on developing the enhanced versions of Little Nightmares called Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. By pre-ordering a digital copy of Little Nightmares III you could have played in early access on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

The Little Nightmares 3 platforms are as follows:

  • Nintendo Switch
  • Nintendo Switch 2
  • PlayStation 4
  • PlayStation 5
  • PC
  • Xbox One
  • Xbox Series X/S

You can expect the very same immersive atmosphere and smooth performance on all platforms with enhanced visuals for next-generation consoles.

Little Nightmares 3 Story

You are Low and Alone, best friends who found each other in a dark and horrifying nightmare. You play as Low who wears a white raven mask. He carries a bow and arrow with which he can cut ropes and hit switches from far away. Then there’s Alone, your companion. A girl with red pigtails and a curious brave heart. She carries a heavy wrench that she swings with to break through walls and hit buttons that Low cannot reach. Low and Alone are trying to flee from the Spiral. The Spiral is a creepy world filled with places that hit you right in the childhood fears. Fears of giant spiders, eerie baby dolls staring blankly, and empty places with flickering lights. Everywhere they turn, there’s a massive groaning monster lurking. Are they going to be able to make it out of Nowhere alive?

Little Nightmares 3 Gameplay

One of the biggest changes in Little Nightmares III is the introduction of co-op gameplay. For the first time in the series, players can team up online with a friend one controlling Low, the other Alone. However, the fact that this new feature can only played when you are online is disappointing to be honest. One might wonder why the developers didn’t add couch co-op. On the bright side, the Friend’s Pass which lets you play with someone who does not own the game is there as well. If you want to play it offline you can play with AI which is good enough.
