Welcome to your one stop shop for everything that goes “boom” in METAL EDEN. This metal eden weapons guide will break down the entire arsenal, starting with the crucial difference between Kinetic and Energy damage types. We’ll show you why sticking to one gun is a fatal mistake and how “hot swapping” between weapons is the key to maximum destruction. We’ll also cover each weapon’s role, from the humble starter pistol to the mighty shotgun, and explain their game changing upgrades available at the Pig Shop.

What is in our Metal Eden Weapons Guide
The Basics of Destruction: More Than Just Point and Shoot
In METAL EDEN, your guns are tools, and you need the right tool for the right job. Trying to blast through an armored enemy with a purely Kinetic weapon is like trying to chop down a tree with a banana. It’s just not gonna work, and you’ll probably look silly trying.

Kinetic vs. Energy: The Rock Paper Scissors of Pain
The combat system is built around two simple damage types:
- Kinetic (for Health): Think traditional bullets, shotguns, and high impact rounds. These are your go to for shredding an enemy’s actual health bar. Once their armor is gone, Kinetic weapons finish the job fast.
- Energy (for Armor): Plasma rifles and energy pistols fall into this category. Their main purpose is to melt away that pesky blue armor bar that protects tougher enemies.
This isn’t just a suggestion; it’s the law of the land. The game forces you to constantly switch weapons to be effective.
Master the Hot Swap
“Hot swapping” is the art of switching between your weapons rapidly to maintain a constant stream of damage. It’s not just a fancy trick; it’s a core mechanic.
A perfect combo looks like this: Start with an Energy weapon to strip an enemy’s armor. The second their armor shatters, instantly swap to a Kinetic weapon like a shotgun or heavy pistol to obliterate their health. Mastering this flow is what separates a cybernetic god from a walking scrap heap.
The Armory: A Tool for Every Job
Time to meet your new best friends. All of these can be upgraded at the Pig Shop using “Dust” you find by exploring the levels. Don’t skip the exploration; a weak gun is a sad gun.
Hertz AP (The Ol’ Reliable)
This is your default energy pistol with infinite ammo. Its only weakness is that it can overheat. It’s not flashy, but it will always be there for you when you need to strip some armor and your other guns are empty. Upgrades focus on making it overheat slower or deal a bit more damage.
U9 Supra (The Hand Cannon)
A high damage, high precision Kinetic pistol. This thing rewards accuracy with massive damage, making it perfect for popping the heads of weaker enemies or delivering a finishing blow to a big guy.
Upgrade Highlight
The U9 SMART upgrade gives it homing missiles. Yes, you read that right. Homing. Missiles. For those moments when aiming is more of a suggestion than a requirement.

TAS-9 (The Problem Solver)
Your classic, up close and personal Kinetic shotgun. When you need to delete an enemy from existence at point blank range, this is what you pull out.
Upgrade Highlight
You can choose between the FLAK mod for a wider spread to handle crowds, or the DRAGON mod for a tighter, more focused blast to annihilate single, chunky targets.
Zenit SMG (The Bullet Hose)
A fast firing Kinetic SMG that’s perfect for unarmored enemies. It’s great for keeping pressure on fast moving targets and absolutely shreds in the Overseer boss fight.
Upgrade Highlight
The Grenade Launcher mod is a complete game changer, giving this weapon incredible versatility for clearing out groups of enemies with a satisfying “thump.”

EZN-5 (The Armor Melter)
This is your primary Energy rifle, and its job is to make armor disappear. It’s the perfect opener against tough, shielded enemies before you swap to a Kinetic weapon.
Upgrade Highlight
Its upgrades are all about crowd control. You can get an Ice Blast to freeze enemies in place or a Plasma Bomb for area of effect energy damage. Both are fantastic choices for controlling the battlefield.
