Where Winds Meet, one of the recent titles on Steam, sets a new record which is a huge success for Everstone Studios. Just 1 month after its official launch, this RPG game reached 15 million players, confirming its popularity among the gamers.
Developed by Everstone Studio and published by NetEase, Where Winds Meet has been praised for its rich world and combat styles. The game is the talk of the gaming world and recently received its first major update, which adds the Roaring Sands map.
A New But Expected Milestone!
From the very beginning, Where Winds Meet’s road to success was bright. Despite being the first title of Everstone Studio, this Chinese game gained more than 2 million player just a day after its global release. Moreover, one week after the launch, Steam version of the game welcomed 250000 concurrent players.

Where Winds Meet shared its new milestone via its official channels in social media. Everstone declares that global version of its game reached to 15 millions player across different platforms including PC, consoles and mobile version.
Where Winds Meet was first released in China as an early access exclusive. However, it took the game two months there to reach the same level of success. To mark its one-month anniversary, the game also introduced the Velvet Shade sect which adds new skills for players to use with the Vernal Umbrella weapon.
A New Update for Where Winds Meet
Where Winds Meet recently received a massive update, adding Roaring Sands area which is a huge map. Furthermore, this update introduces a new boss named Feng Ruzhi and a quest centered upon River Mister.
As part of patch version 1.1, Where Winds Meet raised the level cap to Level 65. The update also added two new outfits titled Magpie’s Farewell (the Battle Pass) and Formless Disguise which can be obtained from the Draw Shop.

Where Winds Meet is one of many successful titles developed by Chinese studios. In recent years, Chinese developers like HoYoverse (owning games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail) have grown incredibly fast and found their place in gaming world.
In 2024, China’s influence on game industry peaked as Black Myth: Wokung became the first Chinese-developed game to be nominated for Game of the Year title in Game Awards. Where Winds Meet also had an promotional appearance in 2025 Game Awards.
