How Romance Works in Bloodlines 2
Before you try to woo Seattle’s undead, you need to understand that romance for vampires is… complicated. In the World of Darkness, vampires aren’t human. The Beast inside them hollows out human emotions like love. So, if you’re looking for a deep, traditional RPG romance system, you’re out of luck.
What is Romantic Feeding in Bloodlines 2?
Vampires are driven almost exclusively by their desire for blood. While feeding on mortals is mostly practical for Phyre, encounters with other vampires are different. This is where romantic feeding comes in. This is the closest you’ll get to a real romance scene with an NPC. It’s a pleasurable experience for both participants, but it’s not love. The screen will fade to black, you’ll hear some suggestive banter, and then you’ll return to where you were.

How to Flirt in Bloodlines 2 And When Not To
When talking to a character, you will sometimes get an option to flirt. Be careful with this. If a character already likes you based on your other dialogue choices, they’ll respond positively. But if you try to flirt with someone who doesn’t have a positive affinity for you, it will be badly received and can negatively impact your relationship. If you say the wrong thing, the flirt option might even disappear forever. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have an in game tracker to check your relationship status. You’ll just have to judge their reactions in the moment.
Can You Romance Multiple Characters in Bloodlines 2?
If you’re worried about playing the field, don’t be. There do not appear to be any consequences for getting involved with multiple people at once.
How to Romance Primogens in VTM Bloodlines 2
Most of the romance options are the Primogens, the undead officials who represent each vampire clan in Seattle. There are two different ways to trigger a romantic feed with them.
Method 1: The Flirting Route
This method is all about persistence. You’ll first meet the primogens during the main quest “Keep the Peace”. You need to successfully flirt with your chosen primogen three times. You can’t do this all in one meeting. The second flirt opportunity comes during the next night’s quest, “A Work of Holy Innocents”. The third chance finally arrives during the quest “Prove Yourself”. You can also just wait until “Prove Yourself” and knock out all three flirt attempts in a row. Just remember to start a new conversation each time. After the third successful flirt, talk to them one more time, and they’ll proposition you.
Method 2: The Power Route
There’s a second, more straightforward method. Primogens are a source of power, letting you unlock new clan abilities by spending blood resonance. If you keep visiting their haven and unlocking these powers, they’ll suggest something more intimate once you’re ready to unlock the final power and perk. This only works if they like you, however. If you’ve annoyed them in your chats, they’ll still give you the powers, but you’ll never get the romantic feed.
Vampire Bloodlines 2 Character Romance Guide
Every primogen can be romanced. Here’s where to find them and what they like.
Bloodlines 2 Fletcher Romance
Fletcher is the Ventrue primogen. You can find him at the piano in Makom Bar. He has old school manners and prefers a respectful approach. Be nice and don’t push too hard on business or personal topics.
Bloodlines 2 Mrs. Thorn Romance
Mrs. Thorn is the Tremere primogen and can be found in Wake the Dead. She is very traditional and takes deep pride in her authority and work. Don’t question your superiors or poke into business that doesn’t concern you.
Bloodlines 2 Niko Romance
Niko is the Banu Haqim primogen, located in Aurora Pawn. He values honesty above all else and has a deep sympathy for mortals.

Bloodlines 2 Onda Romance
Onda is the Lasombra primogen and is in the lobby of the Glacier Hotel. She is powerful and proud of it. Appealing to her ego can work, but don’t make yourself seem weak or beneath her.
Bloodlines 2 Patience Romance
Patience is the Toreador primogen, also in Aurora Pawn. She loves art for art’s sake and appreciates it when you do, too. She does not like to talk business.
Bloodlines 2 Silky Romance
Silky is the Brujah primogen, found at The Dutchman. He doesn’t like being bothered with business that isn’t his problem. He’s also not impressed that you’re the Nomad, so don’t try to use that to impress him.

Can You Romance Safia in Bloodlines 2?
Finally, there’s Safia. This is the one romance in the game that’s different. You can find her in Wake the Dead or her lab. If you roleplay Phyre as a vampire with more humanity, you’ll find Safia acts the same way. She responds to flirting, and you can build a sweet, unspoken relationship with her by exchanging tender words and support. She likes soft and caring answers. However, this relationship is platonic. It’s arguably the only one worth pursuing as it’s the only one that actually adds something to your story.
