Where to Find Hornets in ARC Raiders
That’s where you come in. Apollo’s latest project is aimed at destroying those annoying taser wielding Hornets faster and easier than ever before. He thinks his explosives are the best way to do it. He needs you to get out there to help him test the Trigger and Snap Nades and take down those flying ARC machines.
Watch out for the Hornet. Hornet is a medium-sized flying drone with two armored rotors up front. It patrols the skies of the Rust Belt usually with Wasps. Sometimes it stands guard for larger ARC machines as well. You can pretty much find a Hornet in open areas across all maps. That’s where to find Hornets in ARC Raiders. Here’s the best spawn chances on the Dam Battlegrounds map.
How to Destroy a Hornet with a Trigger Nade
Quest objective: Destroy a Hornet with a Trigger ‘Nade or Snap Blast grenade.
Pro tip: Head to Apollo’s shop and you can buy the Snap Blast grenades right there. You might even be able to craft them yourself. Whatever you do, make sure you bring plenty of them. It’s not a bad idea to stash them in your safe container, just in case things go south.
As I’ve mentioned before, you can find Hornets on just about any map. Though the Dam Battlegrounds is a good bet. These are those common small drones you see everywhere. If you’re not sure, just ping the enemies to check their name. You’re looking for a Hornet.
Now, here comes the delicate part. You can’t just chuck the grenade and hope. You have to weaken the Hornet first. Give the Hornet a shot or two. You just want to get its health low, not destroy it.
Once it’s weakened, toss your Snap Blast grenade at the drone. The explosion will finish the job and you’ll finally see that quest objective tick up.
How to Get Trigger Nade Blueprint
Now we’re talking about the Sparks Fly rewards in ARC Raiders. Here are all of them:
- 4x Crude Explosives
- 2x Processor
- Trigger ‘Nade Blueprint

And that’s really all there is to it. Just grab a couple of Snap Blast grenades from Apollo. Weaken a Hornet and toss the grenade to finish the job. You’ll be done in no time.
