The new Alloyed Collective DLC for Risk of Rain 2 adds a bunch of cool stuff, including a brand new final boss called the Solus Wing. Getting to this boss isn’t obvious and uses a totally new path. If you’re wondering how to find it, you’re in the right place.

A Quick Tip Before You Start
Before you start, here’s a quick tip to make this much easier: enable only the Alloyed Collective expansion for your run. You can do this from the main menu. This helps make sure all the new stages and items show up when they’re supposed to.
How To Reach the Final Boss Step by Step
This special boss fight is at the end of a very specific quest. Here is the full process from start to finish.
Step 1: Reach Stage Three and Activate the Node
First, just play the game normally until you get to Stage Three. Somewhere on this map, you’ll find a new object called a Node that is blinking red. Walk up to it and interact with it. It will turn blue, and you’ll see a blue orb start to circle the main teleporter. Now, just activate the teleporter like normal, beat the boss, and a new Encrypted Portal will open up. Go inside.
Step 2: Enter Conduit Canyon and Get Three Sentry Keys
This portal takes you to a new area called Conduit Canyon. Your job here is to hunt down and defeat elite enemies. When they’re defeated, they will drop an item called a Sentry Key. You need to collect three of these keys.
Step 3: Hack the Three Barriers
Once you have your three Sentry Keys, look for three barriers or sentries at the top of the location. You can usually reach them with the new zip lines. Go to each one and use a key to hack it. This will open up the path to the next section.
Step 4: Get Three More Sentry Keys
This part is simple: you have to do it all over again. You need to find and defeat more elite enemies in this new area to get three more Sentry Keys. That’s six keys in total for this stage.
Step 5: Reprogram the Teleporter and Fight Two Bosses
With your second set of three keys, find the main Encrypted Teleporter and use the keys to reprogram it. Get ready for a fight, because as soon as you activate it, you’ll have to battle two bosses, one after the other. First is the Solus Control Unit, and right after that, you’ll fight the Alloy Hunter.
Step 6: Go to Solutional Haunt to Find Solus Wing
After you defeat the Alloy Hunter, the final portal will open. Go through it to reach the last area, the Solutional Haunt. You’ll see a giant hole or tube in this area. Just jump down to the very bottom, and you will find yourself face to face with the true final boss: the Solus Wing.
What Do You Get for Beating Solus Wing?
So, what’s the big prize for all this hard work? Besides bragging rights, defeating the Solus Wing is how you unlock the Drifter. A pretty awesome reward for taking on the toughest boss in the DLC.
