ROR2 Solus Heart: A Secret Boss
Risk of Rain 2 has gained a lot of attention in the gaming community with its Alloyed Collective update. This DLC brings a variety of new items, bosses and challenges. One standout addition is Solus Heart which is a new boss often referred to as the hidden boss. The name fits because finding and defeating him requires careful planning and strategy.
How to Reach ROR2 Solus Heart
First, you will need to reach Solutional Haunt and defeat Solus Wing which is easier said than done. Solus Wing is one of the tougher bosses in the game. For completing this quest, please check our Reach the Final Boss in Risk of Rain 2 Alloyed Collective article.
A kind reminder: you need to find and activate an Access Node in the third world of your run to reach Solus Wing. If you have not unlocked Drifter yet, make sure to free her from her prison first. When you reach Conduit Canyon, hold onto at least one extra Sentry Key for later.
After defeating Solus Wing, be sure to pick up the Encrypted Cerebellum which is guaranteed to appear in the loot. Then move through Solus Wing’s eye to enter Computational Exchange. There, you will need another key item that can only be unlocked using the Encrypted Cerebellum. In this phase, you need to visit CHEF.

Reach the Secret Boss in ROR2: Solus Heart
After visiting CHEF, he will combine the items and give you an Exposed Cerebellum. Take it to the large Solus unit near CHEF’s kitchenette. The Solus unit will open a Decrypted Portal and lead you to the boss fight against Solus Heart.
Solus Heart is a very dangerous enemy, capable of wiping out your entire health bar if you are hit by some of his attacks. If your character is well-built, your chances of defeating him improve. Once you beat Solus Heart, you can choose to accept or reject his offer. Either way, you will unlock a new skin for your character. Keep in mind that the new skins will be available just for the base characters.
